One victim is dead and two others are injured after a two-vehicle crash Thursday morning in North Austin, near Covert Buick GMC.
According to a social media post from Austin-Travis County Emergency Medical Services (ATCEMS), the crash happened just before 2 a.m. in the 11800 block of Research Boulevard, heading northbound.
ATCEMS worked alongside the Austin Fire Department (AFD) to help free a victim trapped inside one of the vehicles.

One person died on scene, and two adults were transported to St. David's Round Rock.
Of those injured, one is facing life-threatening injuries and the other has possibly serious injuries, according to ATCEMS.
