KILLEEN, Texas — AdventHealth Central Texas will host a blood drive for Carter BloodCare on Wednesday, May 27, from 9 a.m. - 4 p.m. Blood donations will be collected in two Carter BloodCare buses in front of the hospital.

According to AdventHealth, blood supply has reached a critical low in Bell County because of cancellations of donation events during the coronavirus pandemic. But, the hospital said it is safe to donate as Carter BloodCare and AdventHealth practice CDC recommended safety measures.

Donors should be a least 18 years old and be in generally good health. Also, all donors will need to present a valid photo ID at the time of donation. To schedule an appointment, visit the Carter BloodCare website.
