TEMPLE, Texas — A 3-year-old girl who was in serious condition after drowning at Temple Lake Park Wednesday died Thursday morning in the hospital, according to Temple police.
The victim was identified as Skylar Parks.
Temple officers responded to a possible drowning of a 3-year-old girl at about 7 p.m. at Temple Lake Park Wednesday, according to the Temple Police Department. Officers arrived and performed life-saving measures until EMS arrived.
The girl was taken to McLane Children's Hospital in Temple in critical condition.
An initial investigation by police points to an accidental drowning. The investigation is ongoint.
