Hundreds fill H-E-B baskets with Thanksgiving groceries for local food banks

Belton ISD FFA and H-E-B sponsored the annual food rally at the Belton store.

BELTON, Texas — The annual H-E-B Thanksgiving Food Rally took place in Belton, where hundreds filled their shopping baskets with groceries to benefit local pantries.

A total of 96 teams of two from Belton ISD, HEB, and the community grabbed a cart with a list of grocery items. The first three teams to check out with all the correct items won the race.

The food collected at the rally benefits Helping Hands Ministry, Belton Church of Christ, and other local organizations.

The H-E-B Thanksgiving Food Rally has been going on for at least 15 years.
