KILLEEN, Texas — Who knew the fountain of youth was in Killeen.
A water aerobics class at Central Texas College has proven to slow the progression of some health conditions people in the class face.
Three days a week Judy Mills makes waves in her class of over 50 people.
"Oh we're like a family," she said. "I'm blessed to have all these people in my life."
Mills and her students have found the class to be beneficial for their arthritis along with other conditions. She added that ever since her husband started taking the class, his parkinsonism has stopped progressing.
According to the Mayo Clinic aquatic exercise is a low-impact activity that takes the pressure off the bones, joints and muscles.
Water also offers natural resistance, which can help strengthen the muscles.
Aquatic exercise can have many health benefits, such as improved heart health, reduced stress, and improved muscular endurance and strength.

Mills has enjoyed teaching this class for 15 years but now she's looking for more instructors to help out. It's a groovy class that's pretty booked, so they need all the help they can get.

"I'm going to be 77 in January and it keeps me going," Mills said.
Her husband has asked many time when she will retire but Mills said if she stopped, her arthritis would worsen.
For now she will keep getting her groove on and hopes you will join her too.
