CENTRAL, Texas — Central Texas residents will be able to be tested for COVID-19 as state agencies are set to host a free mobile test collection event April 29, 30 and May 1.
Area residents looking to get free testing will have to register online or call in advance and schedule an appointment.
Those getting tested will be screened for COVID-19 symptoms, including:
- Fever and/or chills
- Cough (dry or productive)
- Fatigue
- Body aches/muscle or joint pain
- Shortness of breath
- Sore throat
- Headaches
- Nausea/vomiting/diarrhea
- Nasal congestion
- Loss of taste and/or smell
Here are the state test collection locations for each participating county:
Lampasas County
- Kempner Fire Station, 315 Pecan St. in Kempner
- April 30
- 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Milam County
- 335 E. Ave. C in Milano
- April 29
- 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Limestone County
- 209 Whitt Street in Groesbeck
- April 30
- 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Bosque County
- 309 W. River St. in Meridian
- May 1
- 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The Texas Military Department, Texas Division of Emergency Management, Emergency Medical Task Force of Texas and Texas Department of State Health Services are all involved in the test collections happening and around the state.
