McLennan County reports another COVID-19 death, 155 new cases

The latest death reported Thursday brings the total number of coronavirus-related deaths to 15.

MCLENNAN COUNTY, Texas — Another person has died as a result of the coronavirus in McLennan County, according to a report from the county.

The victim was a 41-year-old African American woman. With this death, there have now been a total of 15 fatalities in McLennan County caused by the coronavirus. 

The Waco-McLennan County Public Health District reported 155 new cases, for a total of 2,438 cases. The active number sits at 2,010 as 413 patients have recovered and and 15 have died. 

A total of 45 patients are hospitalized, but only 35 of the hospitalized cases are McLennan County residents, the county reported. From those, 10 are on ventilators. A total of 520 other are being monitored by the Texas Department of State Health Services and the county health district.
