TEMPLE, Texas — A Temple Chick-fil-a employee was tested for COVID-19, according to a post from the restaurant owner Steve Joy.
The employee worked at the location on S. 31st St. and has not been at work while awaiting test results of a test taken March 26.
According to the post, the restaurant closed for the week after the employee was tested.
Now, the restaurant is set to reopen April 4 although the symptomatic employee has not received test results. However, the post indicated that employee would remain in self-quarantine awaiting results and to complete a 14-day period.
Joy said the employee who was tested was no longer sick "and the doctor is confident this case is not a COVID-19 virus..." although results have not returned.
"All other employees returning to work have been cleared by the Bell County Health Department," the post said.
