Temple College breaks ground on new Health Sciences Building

Temple College has begun construction on a new Health Sciences Building to boost healthcare training and workforce development.

TEMPLE, Texas — Temple College has officially broken ground on a new 63,657-square-foot Health Sciences Building designed to enhance healthcare training in the region. 

The facility will feature a nursing simulation center, a sonography clinic and several classrooms, making it a central hub for healthcare education in Central Texas.

The new building is part of an effort to strengthen the local healthcare workforce, offering students the resources they need to pursue careers in the growing healthcare sector, according to Temple Economic Development Corporation. In addition, Temple College has partnered with Texas Tech University to streamline transfer pathways, allowing students to continue their education and earn a Bachelor’s degree.

The expansion and partnership are seen as key drivers of economic development for the Temple area, ensuring that the community’s healthcare professionals are well-prepared for the future of the industry.
