KILLEEN, Texas — The Killeen Independent School District has once again demonstrated its commitment to financial excellence by receiving the ASBO International’s Certificate of Excellence in Financial Reporting.
The award, presented in June, recognizes the district’s Annual Comprehensive Financial Report for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2023.
This award continues KISD's streak of over 30 years of being honored by ASBO International for its high standards in financial reporting and transparency.
“Sound financial stewardship is a responsibility that Killeen ISD takes seriously. This recognition validates that not only are we providing our students with a great education, but we are also doing so in a financially efficient and prudent manner,” Killeen ISD chief financial officer Kallen Vaden said.
ASBO International’s Certificate of Excellence is awarded to districts that meet the program’s strict criteria for financial reporting and transparency.
Vaden expressed her gratitude to the dedicated KISD staff for their hard work in meeting all requirements with excellence.
“I’m so proud of our financial reporting department for continuing to maintain a standard of excellence,” Vaden said.
