Clear bag policy for athletic events implemented by Killeen ISD

Prohibited items includes non-clear backpacks, binocular cases, briefcases, camera bags, computer bags, coolers, diaper bags, and fanny packs.

KILLEEN, Texas — Killeen ISD will enforce a Clear Bag Procedure for spectators attending any ticketed event at its athletic facilities, starting July, 1.

This initiative is for the enhancement of safety and security for all attendees.

Approved bags include clear bags and backpacks no larger than 12 inches by 6 inches by 12 inches, one-gallon plastic re-sealable storage bags, and small non-clear bags no bigger than 4.5 inches by 6.5 inches.

Prohibited items includes non-clear backpacks, binocular cases, briefcases, camera bags, computer bags, coolers, diaper bags, fanny packs, and seat cushions with pockets or zippers. However, medically necessary items will be allowed following an inspection at a designated gate.

Participants performing at these events, such as athletes, cheerleaders, and band members, are exempt from this policy.
