KILLEEN, Texas — Killeen ISD Career Center students demonstrated exceptional skill and determination at the recent Skills USA District 10 Leadership and Skills Conference, with 55 students earning the opportunity to advance to the state competition.
The conference, held last weekend at Texas State Technical College in Hutto, served as a platform for Career Center students to showcase their talents and represent both their school and district with pride.
In addition to those advancing through traditional competitions, another 35 students from the Career Center earned their places at the state competition with outstanding Skills Portfolios.
Competing alongside peers from 43 Central Texas schools, Killeen ISD Career Center students faced heavy competition in a diverse range of workforce skills categories. Despite the challenges, their dedication and proficiency shone through, enabling them to excel and secure their positions at the state level.
