KILLEEN, Texas — The Killeen ISD Alumni Association, a division of the KISD Education Foundation, is seeking distinguished graduates to recognize at their annual award ceremony next spring.
The association has a longstanding tradition of honoring outstanding alumni who have graduated from Killeen, Ellison, Harker Heights, Shoemaker, or the KISD Career Center.
Since 2005, the program has celebrated the achievements of 77 KISD distinguished alumni.
Applicants are required to submit a current resume or biography along with their application. The application deadline is Dec. 11.
To be eligible for this prestigious recognition, alumni must fulfill specific criteria. Candidates should be well-rounded individuals who have made significant contributions to the community they serve, with a graduation from a Killeen ISD campus dating back at least a decade.
Additional criteria for potential honorees include being role models for current and future generations of Killeen ISD students.
The honorees will be formally recognized at a special ceremony scheduled for Mar. 28, 2024. If applicants are not selected in the current year, their nominations will remain on file for consideration for up to three years following the submission date.
