GROESBECK, Texas — Groesbeck ISD has released a statement as rumors have reportedly spread about a litter box in a restroom at Groesbeck High School.
Groesbeck ISD Superintendent Anthony Figueroa said a parent had expressed worry over the rumor, and wanted to assure parents that the claim is "entirely false".
"There is no litter box in any restroom at GHS, nor will there ever be," Figueroa said in a release. "This is a guarantee from me as the superintendent and from our School Board as well. Our district remains committed to upholding the highest standards in our facilities and ensuring they reflect our values and dedication to supporting the well-being and needs of all students."
"We understand that social media and word of mouth can sometimes lead to misunderstandings or the spread of misinformation," the release continued. "As a district, we strive to maintain open and transparent communication with our community. If you ever have questions or concerns, I encourage you to reach out to your child’s school or our district office directly. We are here to provide clarity and support, and we value your partnership in fostering a positive and accurate understanding of our schools."
Groesbeck ISD said it will continue to provide a safe, respectful and supportive environment for all of its students.
