COPPERAS COVE, Texas — A sudden water main leak took place in Copperas Cove High School and the Copperas Cove Independent School District on the morning of Oct. 27th.
A CCISD's maintenance team detected the issue and notified the city of Copperas Cove. The necessary repairs will require a temporary shutdown of water services to the high school campus.
In an effort to ensure minimal disruption to students' education, the staff at Copperas Cove High School will be uploading students' assignments for the day onto the Schoology platform. Students are urged to complete these assignments before they resume their regular classes on Tuesday.
CCHS administration has created a staggered release plan for students. This release will begin at 9:15 a.m. for students who drive to school and will end with students who rely on CCISD transportation services, including afternoon bus routes. Buses are scheduled to depart at 10 a.m.
For students who typically walk to school, they will be allowed to leave at 9:30 a.m.
Parents who plan to pick up their students should plan their arrival for no earlier than 9:45 a.m. Parents collecting 9th- and 11th-grade students can find them outside the CCHS front office on 25th Street, while those picking up 10th- and 12th-grade students should head to the CCHS Cafeteria area, accessible from Avenue D.
To stay informed about any developments, Copperas Cove ISD strongly advises all parents to regularly check their emails.
