Killeen ISD appointed a new principal Wednesday to run Union Grove Middle School.
Dr. Paula Lawrason will replace Dagmar Harris, who was promoted to director of secondary curriculum and professional development.
Lawrason began her career as a special education teacher at the Ellison Ninth Grade Center in 1996. She went on to serve as special education coordinator and later as an assistance principal at Shoemaker High School. In 2016, she was named director for special education.
“Dr. Lawrason has long and distinguished record of success in teaching and educational leadership, and she will be an excellent principal for Union Grove Middle School,” Superintendent John Craft said in an email.
Lawrason holds a doctorate in educational administration from Capella University, a master’s in educational administration from Tarleton State University and a Bachelor of Science from the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor.
