Williamson County narcotics investigation leads to bust in Morgan's Point Resort

The Williamson County Sheriff's Office said the seizure indicates a "significant drug trafficking operation" has been interrupted.

MORGAN'S POINT RESORT, Texas — Authorities have seized thousands of pills, illegal drugs, falsified documents and an automatic weapon at a home in Morgan's Point Resort as part of a narcotics investigation out of Williamson County, according to the Williamson County Sheriff's Office (WCSO).

WCSO said the Organized Crime Unit conducted an investigation in Round Rock on July 22 where around 335 suspected fentanyl pills were seized.

The investigation reportedly led authorities to a home in Morgan's Point Resort in Bell County on July 23.

At the home, the Williamson County Sheriff's Office said they, along with the Bell County Sheriff's Department Organized Crime Unit, seized the following:

  • A Bear Creek automatic rifle w/magazine and ammunition (records indicate that the weapon was stolen)
  • 112,845 suspected MDMA pills, weighing approximately 54.3 pounds
  • 2,404 suspected fentanyl pills, weighing 375.9g
  • Approximately 4.7lbs of suspected marijuana.
  • 643 suspected methamphetamine pills, disguised as Adderall, weighing approximately 172.1g
  • Approximately 3.51 oz of suspected shrooms
  • 18.5 suspected hydrocodone pills, weighing approximately 8.9g
  • 9 suspected Xanax pills, weighing approximately 2.0g
  • 2 suspected Oxycodone pills, weighing approximately .2g
  • 16 suspected Lisinopril pills, weighing approximately 4.8g
  • 305 suspected codeine pills, weighing approximately 146.8g

WCSO said the street value of the drugs was over $1,100,000. "Numerous" fictitious government documents were also reportedly seized, including fake IDs, social security numbers, checks, vehicle registrations and more, said WCSO.

The Sheriff's Office said the discovery and seizure indicates a "significant drug trafficking operation", which they believe the seizure has disrupted. WCSO said seizing the drugs has "undoubtedly improved community safety".

An investigation is reportedly ongoing. Anyone with information on drug trafficking is asked to contact the WCSO tip line at 512-943-1170 or drug- humantraffickinginfo@wilco.org.
