Waco Police have identified a woman found near Meridian Park on May 19

Police thanked the public for sending in information to help identify the woman.

WACO, Texas — UPDATE: Waco PD said the woman has now been identified as 34-year-old Lela Oneal out of Weatherford. The department thanked everyone who sent in information, saying it was "extremely helpful".

"We appreciate the work our community did to help Lela," said the department in a post on social media.

The Waco Police Department is asking for help finding the family or friends of an unidentified woman.

According to the department, the woman was brought in to Ascension Providence Hospital in Waco by North Bosque EMS after being found "delusional" at Highway 22 and CR 4120 near Meridian Park on Sunday, May 19.

Police said the woman says her name is Kelly, but also says Caleigh and doesn't know her last name. She reportedly claims to be from Louisiana but cannot give her date of birth, social security number or family members' names.
