U.S. Postal Inspection Service offers up to $100,000 reward for information after burglary of Axtell Post Office

The Axtell Post Office was reportedly burglarized in the early morning of June 18.

AXTELL, Texas — The U.S. Postal Inspection Service (USPIS) is asking for information after a burglary at a Post Office in Axtell, and is offering a reward.

USPIS said it is offering a reward of up to $100,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person responsible for the burglary.

According to USPIS, the Axtell Post Office, located at 4521 E. Old Axtell Road, was burglarized in the early morning of June 18, 2024.

Central Texans are told not take any action to apprehend the person themselves, but instead contact USPIS at 1-877-876-2455, say "law enforcement" and reference case number 4328858-BURG.

USPIS said all information given will be kept strictly confidential.
