Two dead in alleged murder-suicide in Killeen, police say

Police said they believe the incident to be isolated and there is no danger to the public.

KILLEEN, Texas — Two people are dead after an alleged murder-suicide in Killeen, police say.

The Killeen Police Department said officers were dispatched to an address along Hank Drive around 10:09 p.m. on Wednesday, May 15.

When officers arrived, they reportedly found two men outside the home who had been shot. Both men were not conscious and not breathing, police said. When Killeen EMS arrived, they determined both men were dead, according to the department.

Killeen PD said they believe the two men were neighbors who were "engaged in an altercation" when one man took out a handgun and shot the other before shooting himself.

Police said detectives have determined the shooting to be an isolated incident between the two men, and say there is no danger to the community.

The names of the two men will be released once next of kin has been notified, police said.
