Two arrested for 2014 Killeen murder in Belton and Ohio

Johnathan Shaw Allen Holmes and Zykeshalla Tyree Murphy have been charged with murder in the killing of Sung Jin Farris on April 20, 2014.

KILLEEN, Texas — The killers behind a murder case in Killeen from April 2014 have been arrested, according to U.S. Marshals and the Killeen Police Department.

On Tuesday, members of the United States Marshals Service Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force (NOVFTF) arrested Zykeshalla Tyree Murphy, 32, at a home in Ashland, Ohio without incident. At the time of her arrest, she was out on bond for a petty theft in the area, and has been booked into the Ashland County Jail, according to officials.

Murphy will remain in the jail until she is extradited back to Central Texas for the murder charge being presented against her for the killing of Sung Jin Farris on April 20, 2014.

“This fugitive may have thought she would be able to run from justice forever, but dedicated officers in Texas made sure this case didn’t go unsolved," stated U.S. Marshal Pete Elliott. "The U.S. Marshals Service will ensure that when fugitives are identified they are arrested as quickly as possible to keep our communities across the country safe.”

She is not the only arrest that has been made in connection to the murder, according to Killeen PD. Johnathan Shaw Allen Holmes, 36, was also arrested by the U.S. Marshals Service Lone Star Fugitive Task Force in Belton about an hour after Murphy's arrest, around 8:30 a.m.

Killeen Police say that the investigation into this case is ongoing, and no other information has been released as of publish time.
