TEMPLE, Texas — Three alleged members of the gang "Killas With Aggression" in Temple, TX were in federal court on Tuesday, Feb. 6, facing numerous charges.
Members of the gang were indicted in October 2020 on five murder charges, RICO Act violations and more.
Members of the jury were shown doorbell camera footage from a shooting in Temple in 2019, where one man was reportedly shot and killed. Police said they recovered at least six shell casings from the lawn of the home.
Jurors were also shown crime scene footage of the shootout, during which bullets were reportedly shot through a window and over a baby's crib, and autopsy photos of a man who was allegedly shot and killed as a result of the shooting.
The U.S. Attorney called the alleged gang members' actions a "violent enterprise that resulted in pain and suffering on a frightening scale."
The gang member's indictments reportedly include assaults, extortion, drug trafficking, RICO Act violations and five murders allegedly committed by three members of the gang from 2015 to 2018.
The arrests were part of the Project Safe Neighborhoods Program, which brings together all levels of law enforcement.
At the time of writing, the trial is still ongoing.
