Three Temple men in RICO case convicted for involvement in criminal organization

WACO, Texas — A federal jury in Waco has convicted three Temple men on all counts for crimes violating the Rico Act and the Hobbs Act, officials announced Friday, Feb. 15.

Atorius Marquis Williams, also known as Lil Man, 23; Demonta Daniels, also known as Tado or Tato, 24; and Trashawn Lamar Alexander, also known as Mad Max, 29, were found guilty of being members and associates of the criminal organization Killas With Aggression.

According to court documents and evidence presented at trial, the organization engaged in conspiracy to distribute controlled substances, conspiracy to rob persons involved in the distribution of controlled substances, and other illegal activities.

The charge detailed four murders and multiple violent assaults, extortion, drug trafficking, and armed robberies committed by Williams, Daniels, and Alexander. These included incidents in Belton and Temple during 2017 and 2018.

In addition to robbery-related charges, the trio were convicted of showing guns during violent crimes. Alexander faced an additional conviction for shooting a firearm during a crime of violence.

U.S. Attorney Jaime Esparza of the Western District of Texas announced the convictions.

Seven other suspects in the case had previously pleaded guilty and been sentenced for their involvement in the criminal activities.
