Three arrested for January aggravated robbery in Killeen

Killeen PD said Dezmond Anderson, Jaquention Simmons Powell and Christopher Simpson have been charged with Aggravated Robbery.

Three people have been arrested in connection to an alleged aggravated robbery of a business in Killeen in January 2024, according to the Killeen Police Department.

Killeen PD stated detectives with the Criminal Investigations Division Robbery-Homicide Unit identified three suspects in an aggravated robbery of a business they say took place on Jan. 16, 2024, in the 5800 block of S. WS Young Dr.

According to Killeen PD, arrest warrants were issued for 24-year-old Dezmond Anderson, 34-year-old Jaquention Simmons Powell and 21-year-old Christopher Simpson.

Killeen PD said Anderson was already in the Bell County Jail on unrelated charges when his arrest warrant was served on Jan. 31. His bond was reportedly set at $100,000.

Powell and Simpson were arrested without incident at their home on Feb. 20, said the department. Their bonds were both reportedly set at $150,000.

The KPD Robbery-Homicide Unit thanked the public for their assistance in the case, as well as the KPD Organized Crime Unit, General Investigations Unit, SWAT Team and the United States Marshals Service Lonestar Fugitive Task Force.

KPD stated the investigation is currently ongoing, and no other information will be released at this time.
