TEMPLE, Texas — Temple Police Department says shots were fired near Travis Middle School on the corner of South 21st Street and Avenue M at about 12:33 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 16.
According to police, Travis Middle School executed a brief lockout for cautionary measures, it has since been lifted.
Police say upon surveying the scene, no damage had been found, but shell casings were located.
No suspect has been named at this time, police say.
There is currently no other information available.
