TEMPLE, Texas — The Temple Police Department said on Thursday that it is still searching for a theft suspect who escaped from police custody Wednesday night.
Police tweeted about their search a little after 8:30 p.m. saying the man, identified as 35-year-old Thomas Finto, was arrested near the Baylor Scott & White Hospital, 2401 S 31st St.
Police set up a perimeter in the area Wednesday night and were unable to locate him, they said.
Temple PD says Finto was wearing a black shirt, black shorts and white shoes and may still be wearing handcuffs.
