TEMPLE, Texas — A 35-year-old man was arrested on Monday for his alleged role in an aggravated robbery that happened in Temple last week.
According to the Temple Police Department, Karon Earl Johnson of Temple was arrested for reportedly robbing a store clerk at gunpoint in the 5400 block of S. General Bruce Drive around 3:20 a.m. on Dec. 14. Police said he demanded cash from the register before taking off in a newer model white GMC Denali.
Police were able to identify Johnson as the suspect of the armed robbery and arrested him in the 3600 block of Profit Place.
He was charged with a first-degree felony of aggravated battery. He was then taken to the Bell County Jail.
No other information was released at this time.
