Temple PD: Two suspects identified in car burglary string investigation

Police say the suspects followed victims that took money from a bank and followed them until their car was parked, then broke in and stole the withdrawn money.

TEMPLE, Texas — A string of car burglaries that took place from July 18 to July 22 is being investigated by the Temple Police Department.

Police say the victims of the burglaries would go to banks, withdraw money, and go around town while being trailed by the suspects. Once the victims' cars were parked, the suspects would break in and steal the money that was left inside.

Temple Police say two suspects have been identified and are seeking additional information regarding the thefts. Anyone with information related to the incidents to contact Temple PD at 254-526-8477. Tips can also be submitted anonymously at bellcountycrimestoppers.com.

Police advise residents to not keep any valuables in their cars--including cash or guns--to not leave their cars running unattended, and to keep their cars locked.
