KILLEEN, Texas — A suspect has reportedly been arrested after an alleged robbery at a business in Killeen on June 25, according to the Killeen Police Department.

Killeen PD stated that officers responded to an aggravated robbery at a business in the 900 block of S Ft. Hood Street around 2:48 p.m. on Tuesday, June 25.

Police said it was reported to them that a man had entered the business, pointed two handguns at the employee and demanded money. He then allegedly put the money in a bag and demanded cigarettes and liquor before leaving on foot.

According to Killeen PD, Patrol Officers, K9, Community Engagement Unit (CEU), Violent Crimes Action Team (VCAT) and Organized Crime Unit "saturated the area" and located a man matching the description of the suspect.

Police "initiated a contact" with the man, who they say took something out of his bag before dropping it and running. Officers were able to catch the man, police said, and placed him under arrest.

Police stated they found property allegedly stolen from the business in the bag, and found two guns along the path where the suspect ran.

The suspect was interviewed by Detectives with the Robbery/Homicide Unit and allegedly confessed to the robbery, said Killeen PD.

According to police, the case was reviewed by the Bell County District Attorney's Office, who issued a complaint for aggravated robbery on Shaquille Ahmad Willis. Willis was reportedly arraigned and issued a $100,000 bond before being taken to the Bell County Jail.
