Shooting in Copperas Cove injures one man

The man was shot in the thigh and is in the hospital recovering from non-life-threatening injuries.

COPPERAS COVE, Texas — A shooting in Copperas Cove injured a 41-year-old man on Sunday, according to the Copperas Cove Police Department.

The man was shot in his thigh at the 1700 block of Montell Street following a fight with the shooter, Police say. The shooter was identified as 34-year-old Kendall Jamal Pharr, who turned himself in following the shooting and is being charged with Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon.

The victim is currently in the hospital but is in stable condition with non-life-threatening injuries.
