TEMPLE, Texas — UPDATE: The Temple Police Department arrested 21-year old Marcus Mayes after an investigation into a shooting Friday morning at Jones Park that sent one person to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
An arrest warrant was issued for Mayes on May 9 and he was arrested in the 3800 block of Mockingbird Lane on Wednesday. He has been charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
This isn't the first time Mayes has been in trouble with the law, he was out on bond for a shooting on November 6, 2019 that occurred near West Avenue M and South 17th Street in Temple. That bond was revoked yesterday.
Temple police also arrested 20-year old Tiffany Ramirez after she was found inside the home with ecstasy and Xanax. She was booked for possession of a controlled substance.

Temple police were looking for a car they believed was involved in a shooting Friday morning
Police said one person was shot in the 1100 block of West Ave. H near Jones Park. The victim was taken to Baylor, Scott & White Hospital and was expected to survive.
Police said a white Chevrolet Cruz with license plate LHB 2423 may have been involved.
Police believe whoever was in the car is armed and dangerous.
They said anyone who see it should call police at 254-298-5500.
