Temple Police investigating five shootings

TEMPLE, Texas — The Temple Police Department is investigating five shootings that took place on Thursday, June 6 in Temple.

According to TPD the first shooting took place at around 12:00 a.m. They were called to the 100 block of S 22nd St. for a shooting. Officers located shell casings and damage to a vehicle and an occupied home, but no injuries. 

TPD said, officers were then called at around 4:18 a.m. to a shooting at the 1700 block of E Adams. 

Upon arrival, officers located shell casings in the roadway, property damage to an occupied home, and no injuries, TPD said. 

The third shooting took place at around 5:15 a.m. officers responded to a call for a shooting. Officers found shell casings in the roadway, no damage, and no injuries, TPD said. 

The last call to TPD took place at around 9:30 a.m. officers responded to a call at the 600 block of N 8th St. 

Upon arrival, officers were told by the homeowner that there were shots fired at their home at an unknown time. There were no injuries reported, TPD said.

After further investigation from TPD, officers noticed that a small-sized black SUV was stolen from the Village at Meadowbend and spotted by a witness at one of the calls for an earlier shooting.
