KILLEEN, Texas — A person of interest has been arrested in connection to the murder of a 17-year-old in Killeen, according to the Killeen Police Department.
Killeen PD stated 17-year-old Tristan Hochstetler was shot and killed inside a home on Monday, July 15.
On Thursday, July 18, police stated they had arrested a person of interest for an unrelated offense in the murder. The person of interest has not been identified at this time.
Hochstetler's death marks the seventh murder in Killeen this year, police said.
Crime Stoppers and Killeen PD are also asking the public for any information about the murder. Tips can be called in to 254-526-TIPS (8477) or submitted online at bellcountycrimestoppers.com. There is also an option to submit an anonymous tip on the P3Tips App anonymously.
A tip that leads to the arrest of the individual or individuals responsible could be eligible for a reward of up to $1,000, according to Crime Stoppers.
