FREESTONE COUNTY, Texas — One person has been arrested in connection to an armed robbery at a Freestone County truck stop in March, the Freestone County Sheriff's Office (FCSO) has announced.
According to the Sheriff's Office, four masked men entered the Road Ranger Truck Stop in Dew and held up the attendant at gunpoint, stealing money and merchandise.
During the investigation, evidence at the scene reportedly led to the identification of "at least one" of the four suspects. Warrants were issued for the person's arrest.
With the assistance of the US Marshals Service Fugitive Task Force, the suspect was located and apprehended in the Houston area, said FCSO.
The suspect is currently awaiting extradition back to Freestone County on charges of aggravated robbery and engaging in organized criminal activity use/exhibit deadly weapon.
FCSO said the investigation is still ongoing with three suspects at large.
