TEMPLE, Texas — One person is dead after a shooting along Poison Oak Road in Temple, Texas, according to a spokesperson with the City of Temple.
City of Temple Public Relations Coordinator Megan Price told 6 News officers responded to the shooting around 6:57 p.m. on March 11. The shooting allegedly took place in the 8400 block of Poison Oak Road.
According to Price, officers found one victim on the scene with "life-threatening injuries". Police said the victim was taken to the hospital, where they reportedly died.
Price said no arrests have been made at this time, and there is no threat to the public.
Temple PD said they are actively investigating the shooting. No further information has been given at this time.
