Man dead, woman arrested after stabbing in Grimes County

The incident occurred shortly after midnight on Friday, according to the Grimes County Sheriff's Office.

NAVASOTA, Texas — A man is dead after he was stabbed on Friday, Oct. 25 in the Navasota area. 

According to the Grimes County Sheriff's Office, the assault happened just after midnight on Friday Oct. 25 in the 5000 block of Hickory Hill Road. 

The man, who was described as being in his early 20s, was taken to an emergency room in Navasota but was eventually airlifted to St. Joseph's Hospital in Bryan where he later died.

A woman, who did not have any identifying features about her revealed, was arrested where the stabbing occurred, according to the sheriff's office. The incident is being investigated by the Grimes County Sheriff's Office, Texas Rangers, and the Grimes County District Attorney's Office.
