'No threat to the public' after two injured in shooting in Speegleville, Sheriff's Office says

The McLennan County Sheriff's Office said two people were shot at a home in the Speegleville area on June 26.

WACO, Texas — Two people were taken to the hospital after a shooting in the Speegleville area of McLennan County on Wednesday, June 26, according to the McLennan County Sheriff's Office (MCSO).

MCSO stated dispatch received a 911 call reporting a shooting around 10:15 p.m. on June 26 at a residence in the Speegleville area.

When deputies arrived, they reportedly found three men, two of whom had been shot. The injured men were taken to the hospital, said MCSO.

The Sheriff's Office said everyone involved in the incident has been identified and there is no threat to the public. An investigation is reportedly ongoing.

MCSO said more updates will be provided as the investigation progresses.
