WACO, Texas — Waco Police identified the victim of a fatal shooting as Preston Jerome Scott, 29, of Waco Wednesday morning.
Police said officers were called around 10:45 p.m. Monday for reports of a man down at the intersection of Dallas Street and Carver Avenue. They found Scott laying in the street with a gunshot wound in his back.
Scott was taken to Baylor Scott and White Hillcrest where he was pronounced dead at 11:30 p.m.
The case remains under investigation.
