Man shot to death in Killeen identified

A man was found with a gunshot wound on the 1800 block of Mulford Street in Killeen.

KILLEEN, Texas —

The Killeen Police Department responded to a 911 call about a shooting victim on Friday, Oct. 4 around 11p.m.

When officers arrived at the 1800 block of Mulford Street they found 36 year-old Simeon Shaw with a gunshot wound. Officers’ immediately started to perform life saving measures until the paramedics arrived. 

Shaw was taken to the Carl R. Darnall Army Medical Center in critical condition.  

Shaw’s injuries were severe and he was pronounced dead at 11:58 p.m. by Justice of the Peace Bill Cooke who ordered an autopsy to be performed at the Southwestern Institute of Forensic Sciences in Dallas.
