KILLEEN, Texas — The Killeen Police Department identified the victim of the city's 17th murder on Tuesday.
Police said 22-year-old Dirkshawn Bryan Jr. was shot and killed in the 2200 block of Wheeler Avenue at around 12:30 a.m. on Sunday, Sept. 22.
Officers were called to the area after reports of gunfire and found Bryan in the road. Police say he had been shot to death.
No other information was released at this time.
