Killeen Police arrest suspect after fleeing in vehicle

According to officers, they pulled over a Blue Nissan Sedan for a traffic violation in the area of Rancier Avenue and 10th Street.

KILLEEN, Texas — On Wednesday, Dec. 20, Killeen police officers arrested a suspect for a traffic violation, finding a handgun and $1106 near by.

According to reports, they pulled over a Blue Nissan Sedan for a traffic violation on the corner of area of Rancier Avenue and 10th Street.

The driver of the vehicle fled the scene as police approached the vehicle. 

Authorities say the driver continued to travel towards Hallmark Avenue, disregarding stops signs and other vehicles in the roadway. 

The driver eventually came to a stop in the 200 block of Bryce Avenue and fled on foot.

He was later located by officers and arrested. 

The unnamed suspect was transported to the Killeen City Jail.
