KILLEEN, Texas — The Killeen Police Department has found the person of interest relating to a homicide that took place over the weekend.
On Wednesday, Aug. 7, police said they found Lavon Tayshaun Green in Detroit, who is believed to have critical information related to the case.
Police were sent to the 400 block of Gemini Lane in response to the shooting on Sunday. Upon arrival, they found 19-year-old Keman S. Greenidge suffering from a gunshot wound. Later that night he was pronounced dead by Justice of the Peace Keith Reed at 10:28 p.m.
Police also said Green has an active felony arrest warrant for aggravated assault.
