KILLEEN, Texas — A 15-year-old Killeen High School student is in juvenile detention and facing felony charges after writing on a bathroom door, according to Killeen Independent School District police.
Officials said the ninth grader is was charged with making a terroristic threat Wednesday after writing threats against other students on a bathroom door.
Kara Trevino, the KHS principal, called parents to notify them of the arrest and ask for their help.
"Please help us by talking to your children about this serious crime," Trevino said.
KISD Superintendent John Craft emphasized how seriously the district takes threats.
"Any student who makes a threat against the school will be charged with a felony and prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law," Craft said. "Our students must understand we are serious about this. The district remains vigilant regarding the safety of all students and staff.”
