MCLENNAN COUNTY, Texas — Keith Ace Hardware in China Spring is asking for help identifying a man that has stolen items from their storefront over the past couple of weekends.
In one instance, the man is seen on security footage in a black shirt and long jean shorts, while another time appearing in a grey shirt and jeans. Both times he had a towel or blanket covering his head.
One weekend, the suspect walked off with an outdoor free-standing stove and a wall heater, while this past Sunday, he stole two patio heaters.
"Yeah, from what we can tell it's just one person and they have a towel over their head from the videos and the pictures that we got," said Keith Ace Hardware Manager Melisa McAuley to 6 News' Mike Rogers. "But hopefully we can get some answers and prevent this from happening again."
McAuley said they have had to reorder the products that were taken and restock what was stolen. She's also hoping that someone with knowledge of the crimes or the vehicle that was photographed can come forward so that they can hold the individual responsible for their actions.
"Hopefully we can get some answers and prevent this from happening again," McAuley said.
An estimated total of the items that were stolen exceeds $1,000.
If you have any information on the thefts, reach out to the employees at Keith Ace Hardware in person or online. Tips can also be relayed to the Waco Police Department, who can be reached by calling 254-750-7500.
