While police say the threat that was made wasn't "credible," the student was arrested for making the threat and taken to the county juvenile detention center.

BRYAN, Texas — A student was arrested Thursday morning for threatening to bring a gun to a Bryan ISD campus.

According to a release from the Bryan Police Department, the district's administration and other officers were made aware of the threat around 10:15 a.m. at Sam Rayburn Intermediate School and began to investigate, shortly after determining that the threat was not credible. The juvenile student that made the threat was arrested and taken to the Brazos County Juvenile Detention Center for their actions.

"As you know, Bryan ISD takes every rumor or report of this type very seriously and works closely with local law enforcement to investigate and take appropriate action, up to and including arrest," Bryan officials said in a press release about the arrest. "We encourage our students and families to report any safety concerns immediately and to also use our B-Safe app. Bryan ISD student and staff safety will always be our top priority.

Police say that due to the arrest involving a juvenile, no further information about the incident will be released.
