MCLENNAN COUNTY, Texas — A man arrested in early 2021 will spend a combined 140 years in prison for multiple crimes, according to the McLennan County District Attorney's Office.
In early 2021, Justin Uriah Seeger, 48, contacted a young girl in Waco on Facebook and began sending sexual messages, images, and videos of himself to the account after learning the girl was 16. Seeger lived in Alabama at the time.
The conversations continued for multiple months, eventually culminating in Seeger suggesting to meet up. Unbeknownst to him, the person behind the account was an officer with the Woodway Public Safety Department, who arrested him after agreeing to meet with Seeger, who was driving in from Alabama under the assumption he would be meeting with her to have sex.
Seeger was arrested at the place where the two were scheduled to meet up, and after a search of his car, methamphetamine and a gun were also found.
During his trial, prosecutors showed that Seeger had ties to the Aryan Brotherhood, a white supremacy prison gang, as well as his role in methamphetamine distribution and violent behavior in the McLennan County Jail while awaiting trial. Seeger had previously been convicted of a felony charge of Tampering with Evidence, Robbery, Burglary of a Habitation, Credit Card Abuse, and Theft, according to a release from the district attorney's office.
Ultimately, Seeger received three prison sentences of 60 years, 20 years, and 60 years all for charges of Online Solicitation of a Minor, Possession of Methamphetamine, and Unlawful Possession of a Firearm by a Felon. Due to his criminal history, the possible prison time that Seeger faced was enhanced on the solicitation and methamphetamine cases to 25 years to life.
"Seeger crossed the country to sexually abuse someone he believed was a child in our community, all while carrying narcotics and a gun," said Assistant District Attorneys Christi Hunting Horse & Rebeckah Lawson in a press release. " Those actions, combined with his lifetime of crime, demanded a sentence that said, 'You are done.'"
