COPPERAS COVE, Texas — A former employee of EJI Firearms stole about 118 firearms from the business over a one year period, the Copperas Cove Police Department said.

According to court documents, Sgt. Lester Nace said he was assigned to investigate the case for EJI Firearms, which used to be called Just Glocks, on Sept. 14, 2017.

The store's owner, Edward Isenberg, had audited a former employee, Tyrell Washington, according to court documents.

Documents Isenberg showed police said that Washington had transferred a large number of 92 glock pistols to himself, without authorization from the store, from June 18, 2016, to June 22, 2017, court documents said.

Washington also transferred guns to people in their name, without having to pay, while he worked at the store.

He is facing a charge of theft of $30,000 or more, but less than $150,000.
