COLLEGE STATION, Texas — A Bryan man was arrested overnight after running from police following a stabbing in College Station.
Monday evening, College Station Police say they were alerted of a stabbing that took place in the 1600 block of Brentwood Drive and began to investigate. When they arrived, they found a victim and learned the suspect had run away from the crime scene on foot, possibly to a Motel 6 room.
The victim was taken to a local hospital for treatment, police say.
At the Motel 6 where the suspect was believed to be, officers were able to locate the suspect and attempted to get him to leave his room, but he refused to exit and barricaded himself inside the room. CSPD SWAT, K9, and the Hostage Negotiation Team were called in to assist in getting the suspect to leave the room.
Despite the suspect's refusal to leave the room, CSPD SWAT were able to make their way in through a window, and he was taken into custody without incident.
Police say Terrence Foley, of Bryan is facing charges as a result of the stabbing, including Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon and Home Burglary. According to Brazos County Jail Records, he is being held in jail on bonds totaling $200,000.
