COLLEGE STATION, Texas — A man at the center of an Aggravated Sexual Assault investigation in College Station was taken into custody without incident, according to the College Station Police Department.
In the evening on Thursday, Sept. 12, CSPD received a report from the 400 block of Southwest Parkway of someone screaming and glass being shattered. When officers arrived, they found a victim that had been sexually assaulted by an African American male suspect in his early to mid 20's with short hair and a beard.
Despite CSPD setting up a perimeter around the crime scene and calling out a K9 unit and drone operator to survey they area, they were unable to find the suspect, who fled the scene before officers arrived.
In an update in the morning a week after the assault, on Thursday, Sept. 19, CSPD says they arrested a suspect the prior night without incident. The suspect was identified as Various McNeal, 27, of College Station.
McNeal has been charged with the following crimes:
- Aggravated Sexual Assault
- Tampering or Fabricating Evidence with the intent to impair
- Burglary of a Habitation with Intention to commit a Sex Offense
He is being held on bonds totaling $958,000, according to Brazos County Jail Records.
