Body identified after being found along Brazos River in Waco

Waco PD said they are treating this incident as a questionable death investigation.

WACO, Texas — The body that was found along the Brazos River, just north of Jacob's Ladder, in Waco Friday morning was identified as a Bellmead missing man.

Around 8:17 a.m., the Waco Police Department received a call about a body found along the river.

Later that day, police identified the man as 32-year-old Lee Murrow, who had been reported missing by the Bellmead Police Department on Wednesday.

Murrow was last seen leaving his apartment in Waco around May 14, but his last cell phone location was in Bellmead later that day, according to the Bellmead Police Department.

Waco PD said they are treating this incident as a questionable death investigation. Police did not say whether or not they suspect foul play. An autopsy has reportedly been ordered.
